πŸŒ„The Ultimate 48-Hour Asheville / Weaverville Guide

Curated for Guests of Glass House, Gallery House & Summit House

There’s a difference between visiting Asheville — and experiencing it well.

The right overlook at the right time.
The restaurant that’s actually worth the reservation.
The scenic drive that delivers every single mile.

When guests book one of our homes in Weaverville — just minutes from downtown Asheville — we don’t send a generic list.

We share our full Airbnb Guidebook.

Built from experience.
Curated for real weekends.
Designed specifically for guests staying at Glass House, Gallery House, and Summit House.

Here’s the 48-hour version.

β˜• Day 1 — Local Charm + Iconic Views

Morning: Slow Start in Weaverville

Start close to home.

From any of our three properties, you’re just minutes from Well-Bred Bakery & Café — a longtime local favorite known for house-made pastries and strong coffee. It’s the kind of place where mornings feel unhurried.

Afterward, take a loop around Lake Louise Park. This scenic lake walk offers mountain backdrops, open green space, and easy trails — perfect before heading into the city.

If you prefer something even closer to downtown Weaverville, Main Street Nature Park offers flat walking paths and peaceful green space just a short drive away.

Then head south — Asheville is typically 15–20 minutes from our homes.

Midday: Downtown Asheville + River Arts District

Downtown Asheville is compact, walkable, and layered with personality.

Independent bookstores.
Local boutiques.
Art galleries tucked into historic brick buildings.

Spend time in the River Arts District, where working artists open their studios to visitors along the French Broad River. It’s one of the most unique creative hubs in North Carolina.

Lunch options worth your time:
Tupelo Honey for Southern classics
• Downtown café stops for lighter fare
• Casual bites before your afternoon exploring

Golden Hour: Blue Ridge Parkway + Craggy Gardens

Few drives in America compare to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From our homes, you can access the Parkway in about 20 minutes. Wind along scenic overlooks and pull off wherever the view demands it.

For sunset, Craggy Gardens delivers sweeping mountain layers that glow gold and rose in the evening light.

Return to your retreat afterward — where the hot tub, expansive deck, and mountain air feel even better after a full day exploring.

πŸ₯Ύ Day 2 — Scenic Icons + Estate Elegance

Morning: Overlooks & Mountain Roads

Start early.

Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway while mist still lingers between ridgelines. Stop at multiple overlooks — each one slightly different, each one worth pulling over for.

If you’re feeling active, choose a moderate mountain hike nearby before midday temperatures rise.

Midday: Biltmore Estate

The Biltmore Estate is about 20–25 minutes from our Weaverville properties.

Even if you skip the full house tour, the gardens and grounds alone are worth it — manicured landscapes, walking paths, and seasonal blooms across expansive acreage.

Afterward, return downtown for lunch before heading back north.

Afternoon: Arboretum or Craft Scene

The North Carolina Arboretum offers curated gardens and forest trails framed by the mountains.

Or circle back to the River Arts District for:
• Local craft breweries
• Coffee roasters
• Working studios you may have missed

Asheville’s food and beverage scene consistently ranks among the best in the Southeast — and it shows.

🍽 Where to Eat (Reservations Matter)

Dinner planning elevates the entire weekend.

We recommend booking ahead for:

Cúrate — Spanish tapas, energetic atmosphere
Chestnut — refined American comfort food
Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian — classic, lively, always dependable

Closer to home in Weaverville:
Twisted Laurel — patio dining downtown
Stoney Knob Café — eclectic longtime local favorite
Blue Mountain Pizza — casual and family-friendly

Because where you eat matters just as much as where you hike.

🏑 Why Where You Stay Changes Everything

Glass House, Gallery House, and Summit House aren’t just places to sleep.

They’re positioned intentionally:

• Quiet mountain setting in Weaverville
• 15–20 minutes to Downtown Asheville
• Easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway
• Close to local parks, cafés, and golf

Modern architecture.
Panoramic views.
Spacious gathering areas.
Hot tubs, fire pits, and expansive decks.

You spend your days exploring — and return somewhere equally memorable.

That balance is everything.
